La file mal gardée

La Fille mal gardée is a ballet about Lise, who lives with her mother, Widow Simone, on a French farm. Although Lise loves Colas, her mother prefers Alain, the son of a wealthy farmer. During the harvest festival, Colas hides in Lise’s room but is discovered when Simone returns with Alain. After some mishaps, Simone ultimately allows Lise and Colas to marry. This performance is a refreshed adaptation by the Beringen Academy in collaboration with Balletschool Harlekijn, with Wannes Wynants taking on the role of Colas.
